How long have you owned M. Steel Cycles?
I have worked for M. Steel Cycles both man and boy for over 25 years now. I bought the shop because I believed in the products and service so much that I wanted to ensure that I remained part of it and I can honestly say I love my job!
Does M. Steel Cycles have any famous clients?
Well not one to name-drop……but Alan Shearer is a good customer and friend and was kind enough to open our new store for us, so is that famous enough?
Out of all of your achievements, what would you say is the thing you are most proud of?
My family and the fact that they are all involved in the business, one way or another. My two sons, Simon and Paul both work for M. Steel Cycles and my wife Paula is extremely supportive of the business. Being a Commonwealth Gold Medallist and Olympian is pretty high up on that scale too though!
Is there anything new happening in the shop recently?
Well, we have a dedicated section of the shop now that is able to offer a Specialized Body Fit Geometry Test, which means our staff are trained to size them up correctly for their bikes. Without this, a bike that is not set up correctly for you to ride can cause discomfort and injury in some cases.
