Specialized are delighted to announce their association with Right To Play in an effort to help raise fund for the Children’s charity.

Right To Play are organising a completely unique multi-day ride supported by Specialized – ‘Ride to the Tour’ (29th June- 2nd July). Riders will not only get to see the end of the first stage of the Tour, but will meet Team HTC-Highroad during a behind the scenes tour.

Mark Cavendish, Right To Play Athlete Ambassador and winner of 10 Stages of the Tour de France said: “It’s the closest you can get to the Tour de France without competing with myself and team HTC-Highroad for the green jersey … See you at the finish line in France.”

The Ride to the Tour will depart from the home of Harlequins R.F.C., the Stoop and will finish 350 miles and 4 days later in Les Herbiers where riders will watch the 1st day of the Tour de France. This is the ultimate ride open to everyone; from first time cyclists to veterans of the cycling world. The route is unique and travels through beautiful British countryside, French vineyards and famous chateaus. Former England and Harlequins Scrum Half, Andy Gomarsall will be taking part as part of the 200 strong team of riders.

Our goal at Specialized is to help maximise the exposure of the charity and to help raise more funds through an incentive programme for participants. Participants can win equipment and a bike depending on how much money they raise for Right To Play. The more they raise the more they get!

We hope you can help us support Right to Play.  For complete details on the ride and the incentives programme go to www.righttoplay.org.uk/cycle.
